Extend Your Battery Life- Made Easy!

Updated: Jul 23, 2019

Do you remember as a child being told to take care of our belongings so they will last longer? Lone behold, this exact skill will help you in the world of batteries! Here are some great tips to giving yourself a great battery life!

When creating your posts you can:

  • Invest in a good battery! Not all batteries are equal! For the best return of your investment, purchase a new or blemished new battery.

  • It is also very helpful to purchase a high- quality charger/ maintainer.

  • For safety reasons, charge in a well- ventilated area. Hydrogen gas generated during charging is explosive.

  • Be sure to choose the appropriate charge program for flooded, gel, and AGM batteries. It's a great idea to check the manufacturer's specification on recommended voltage thresholds.

  • Always charge your batteries before they are completely dead. Though we have products that will bring discharged batteries back to life, most products require minimum voltage in order to begin charging. Additionally, charging before they get to the point will save you time and energy in the long run.

  • Clean off the dust and dirt from the tops of each battery

  • Do not allow a lead- acid battery to freeze. A partially- discharged battery freezes at a higher temperature than one that is fully charged. Never charge a frozen battery.

  • Alongside not charging frozen batteries, do not charge batteries in temperature above 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
